Don't Hit Snooze

Hitting the snooze button can actually cause more harm than good. We tend to believe that giving ourselves a few extra minutes of sleep is a good thing, when in reality it's just low quality "light sleep". Instead, try setting only 2 alarms. Set one alarm for at least 90 minutes before you want to wake up and one for when you actually do. Doing this  can your body sleep through a full sleep cycle and allow your it time to wake up. 

Short Self Care Routine
Here is a list of some self care routines you can practice in the morning.

  • Make your bed
  • Take a shower
  • Play music while getting ready
  • Do your skin care routine
  • Work out

Prepare the Night Before

To make the most out of your mornings and help create a more productive morning routine, try preparing these the night before.

  • Laying out tomorrow's clothes
  • Preparing your breakfast/lunch for work the next day
  • Planning out next day's tasks
  • Having your bag, keys, shoes, etc. ready at the door


Drink a Glass of Water

Drinking water in the morning can be very beneficial for your body, both mentally and physically. Especially if you are feeling tired even after getting a full night of rest. Dehydration can cause changes in cognitive ability, mood disruptions, and tiredness. That is why drinking water can help you feel better in the morning.
