Colby Farm

Hello everyone!

Over the past weekend, I took a trip to Colby Farm in Newbury, MA. The beautiful scenery of the farm reminded me that fall is just around the corner. 

Although I hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer we have left until the fall season officially begins, the long summer days, trips to the beach, the bright sunshine will be missed. However, I'm ready for the crisp clear days, the colors of the leaves as they turn from green to gold, orange, and red, apple picking, pumpkin everything, and more. 

Below are pictures I took from the farm, the field and the sunflowers were so beautiful.

Fave Drink

I've been drinking hot water with lemon lately to help soothe my throat. Any hot tea helps soothe the throat but this is definitely my favorite by far. Lemon contains Vitamin C, which helps boost your immune system, this will help get over coughs much faster. Plus it's so easy to make, just slice some lemon into a mug (I only use two slices) and pour hot water. Let it sit there for a couple of minutes to steep and cool down.

Self Care

Hello my beautiful friends and Happy New Year!

As we enter a new year we all have a chance for a fresh start, whether it'd be setting new goals for yourself or still going after the same dreams. Being consistently busy with work, school, home life and working on my print shop, I find myself slowly draining. So this year one of my new goals is to find my self care, it's important to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself so here is a list of some things I've been doing lately and some I'll definitely be trying this year! 

Writing















Whether it's writing down a to do list, things that you're grateful for, or even things that bother you, get it down on paper. You'll feel better, I personally love using The Five Minute Journal, it helps me with my daily affirmations and it allows me to reflect on the positive things at the end of each day.

Meditation


Meditation- I hear so many good benefits from this, one of my goals this year is to practice this form of self care.

Benefits:

- reduces stress

- fosters clear thinking

- increases energy

- gain clarity and peace of mind

Nature Walks


I've mentioned this before, taking long walks is such a great way to clear the mind. Listening to the sounds of nature and enjoying the beautiful scenery keeps you in the present moment.

Here's a list of the other ways to practice self care:

- read a book or magazine

- take a nap

- always treat yourself to something small

- light up your favorite candle

- drink lots of water

- take a bubble bath

- bake your favorite treat

- try something new
